The semester is done!!! I'm not really sure what to do with myself now! I'm going to try and work on my own little projects over the break. This post is my Self Directed piece. My great friend and photographer Jen Allison was kind enough to model for me. It was a lot of fun. I am also posting my Food Layout and my Architecture Layout. I will still be doing some minor tweaking on my images for final portfolio.

I'm done portfolio!! I finish at about 3 am this morning. I am so glad its done. My interview is this friday, so hopefully that goes well! I will be posting a few of my portfolio images this weekend. These two are for my Consumer Portrait. I knew I had to keep the traditional consumer professional looking but to go with my theme I thought of doing the diptych. That way I can express the theme of "Madness/Insanity" without taking away from the portrait itself. I had a great time working with my friend Chris Laalo. He was extremely patient and seemed to have had fun doing it. I look forward to working with him in the future!!

Alright, so portfolio is creeping in very quickly. Everyone seems to be stressing and on edge. I'm trying very hard to keep everything nice and calm with myself! That would be a main reason I haven't posted in a while! Once that is finished I'll be posting my finals of different images I've been working on these past couple of weeks. I shot the first part of my self portrait last week and did the second on Friday. Here they are!

Hello All!

So I have pretty much finished the editing on my Environmental Portrait. There are still the odd tweeks here and there that I'm going to fix before I print the final image. Let me know what you think!

Alright, so last week our Environmental Portrait was due. We had about a month to do it, and yet I am still handing it in late. How does this happen!? Well, I started the same we the assignment was delivered. The first attempt, I was on my way to the location of the shoot (which was a quary in wakefield) and I got into an accident. Being overwhelmed by this I decided that the shoot probably wouldn't have turned out well, so I decided to try it again a few days later. The second attempt was two days later.. and we got lost. I completely lost the sun and couldn't shoot. That was my fault for not knowing where I was going in the first place. I was beginning to think that this photo shoot just wasn't meant to happen. The third attempt I decided to do the shoot a lot closer, the Ottawa River. Of course the day that I pick (or the whole week i should say) the weather was just not on my side. We got there and took a couple of shots, if was FREEZING and started to poor rain, so we have to pack up. The week after that I had in bed mostly because I had to get my wisdom teeth out. Finally last week I did the shoot in a friends back yard by the pool. I got some great shots... but because we lost a lot of light the images are a bit soft (its hard to focus in the dark).

For the past couple of weeks we've been practicing small flash in our Camera and Lighting class. Last week we went down town to one of the courtyards to play around. It rained SO hard once we got down there so we didn't do too much shooting... then I got a parking ticket (I was only like 5 min over) !!. Here are some images taken that day, I have a few others I'm going to post but I haven't finished the editing on them yet !

This past weekend I had an assignment to cover the Richmond Fair. It was awesome! The different events were great and I took sooo many shots that my thumb was swore from holding up the camera for 2 days! Some of the events covered were the trampoline jumpers, horse show, car derby, and the Strong Man competition. When I was at the Strong Man competition, one of them called me up to try and life 170 pounds! I tried, and fell over ..
There are a few shots I got from the fair.
